Sitebuilder supports the following file types for upload:

  • .pdf
  • .doc
  • .docx
  • .txt
  • .rtf
  • .csv
  • .xls (may not work for Chrome on Mac)
  • .xlsx
  • .numbers
  • .ppt
  • .pptx
  • .key
  • .pages

You can create a link to a document with a button, an image or text. This example uses an icon.

Hover on your block to Add Element. This should be the spot where you want to add your document download.

Once you click Add Element, this will launch the Elements menu. Go to Media and select Icon.

Double-click the default icon once it is in place. From the image slide-out, click Stock Icons and search for the icon you want to use to link your file.

Now that your selected icon is in place, click it to launch the toolbar and click Edit Link.

This will launch your linking options. Click the File tab. If you have multiple files previously uploaded, you can filter them by clicking the Documents tab. You can also type to search for the file.

If you want to link a new file, click Upload.

Click Save Changes when you are done.

 

When a visitor to your site clicks the link to your document, it will launch in a new tab for viewing.
