Colour Sets

Site Builder is no longer sold by Vista. This article is only relevant if you purchased a website from Vista before March 8, 2022.
If you're interested in purchasing a website, you can learn more at Vista x Wix.

To change the colours for your site, go to Theme Styles > Colour Sets and choose a colour set. The Builder uses colour sets to ensure your theme colours are consistent throughout your entire site. To add your own set, click create a customised colour set.

When you create a custom colour set, you can choose from popular colours or use a picker to create a custom colour.

Sets consist of three colours:

  • Primary colours are the most visible colours on your website. They're used on backgrounds, text and icons.
  • Button colours are used for most buttons on your website and always stay balanced with your primary colour.
  • Accent colours are used in special cases to help a particular item or section of your website stand out.

You can make additional colour customisations for text and some block elements

To change a block background colour, click the Settings (gear) button at the top of the block to select from theme default colours or to add a new colour.

To change text colour, click and highlight the text you want to change, then click the colour wheel icon that appears in the text formatting bar. Select from theme default colours or add a new colour. When adding a new colour, be sure to click Apply Colour.

NOTE: If your template was designed to match a business card, a 'recommended' colour set will appear under your current selection.
