The Builder supports the following audio file types for upload:

  • mp3
  • m4a
  • wav

You can create a link to an audio file with a button, an image or text. This example will use a button.

While customizing your button, click the hyperlink icon on the right of the formatting toolbar. All buttons must have links in order to work.

This will launch your linking options. Click the file tab. If you have multiple files previously uploaded, you can filter them by clicking the audio tab. You can also type to search for the file.

If you want to link a new file, click upload.

Click Save Changes when you are done.

When a visitor clicks the button on your published website, a new tab will open with an html 5 player to play the audio.

Embed Options

If you want to embed audio, you can use a sharing site like SoundCloud and paste the embed code in the HTML block. For instructions on uploading your own audio file to SoundCloud, click here.

On the SoundCloud page, click the share icon to access to any audio that has been previously uploaded.

This will launch a popover with your share options. Click Embed to retrieve the embed code for your site.

Click More Options at the bottom of the popover to adjust the size or enable automatic play.

Copy the embed code and paste it into the HTML Block for the website builder. Click Done.
